To Buy or Not to Buy from Online Pharmaciesadded November 21, 2008 Autor: Daniel Millions
If you can afford it you would arrange house calls from doctors so that you don't have to get out of your home and still be medically treated properly. However, the medicines will still have to be bought from the pharmacies outside, unless you start taking advantage of the Internet and start buying from any online pharmacy you think you can trust.
When you go online and start searching for health sites, you will be presented with pages upon pages of links. The Internet is a huge online storehouse for medical information and a lot of health-related topics. If you know how to filter fact from fiction, and you have managed to find reliable and quality sites, then the Internet could well become a very good source.
The millions upon millions of users who are online use the Internet for many purposes - research, education, communication, business, or E-commerce. In the past, any one who needs to do intensive research on a subject will have to go from library to library in order to collect as much information as possible. These days, a lot of work can be done just by logging in to the World Wide Web and typing the keywords for the topic of interest. Such is the case with so many people who are curious and conscious about health.
What about buying from an online pharmacy? Is it recommended? Is it safe for buyers? Why should you start considering this option? Why not?
You should know that buying from an online pharmacy is easy just as easy as going to your favorite drugstore. The difference is you have to complete an online questionnaire that will be evaluated by the resident licensed physician affiliated with the site. Upon evaluation, the doctor will release the prescription for the appropriate medication. Goods are usually delivered using an overnight courier service.
It seems too good to be true that there is such a hassle-free way to procure pills. It could be, so caution is necessary and very important. You should be able to find a trustworthy site that you can rely on for completing the transaction without any fraud.
There have been reports of online pharmacies that sell expired medications. Some sell counterfeit pills too. The risk of fraud is low if the purchase is made from confirmed online pharmacies in the U.S., Canada, or even Mexico. But there are vendors who intentionally deceive or defraud the consumers by selling them drugs that are already close to their expiration dates. This is a practice especially since these companies want to maximize on profits. Others sell mere sugar pills that they pose as hundred-dollar worth of medications.
In the US, there are some incidences of online pharmacies being suspended from operating because they are releasing online prescriptions for controlled drugs. The FDA and DEA also require patients now to be examined by a physician first before they can be given any of the controlled substances by the online pharmacy. The online questionnaire used for evaluation won't cut it.
A few issues surround the transactions with online pharmacies but there are a lot of advantages too, like convenience, anonymity or privacy on the part of the patient, and cheaper costs. Online pharmacies are a way to save money on medicine but are you sacrificing safety? If you are looking for a certified online pharmacy or an online pharmacy no prescription with a wide selection of medicine look no further.
